Welcome to my bright and colorful floral world!
I have been painting with watercolor for more than twenty years, always coming back to my love flowers and vibrant colors.
Flowers make me think of those perfect spring days when color is everywhere, or hot summer days spent by the lake, pool, or beach. I feel the joy of sunshine and the outdoors when I look at gorgeous blooms.
I hope that my artwork can make you FEEL that enchantment as you bring the outdoors into your spaces.

May is Ehlers Danlos Awareness Month

Ehlers Danlos Syndromes, or EDS, is a group of heritable connective tissue diseases. As I use my art to create awareness around EDS, I wanted to share a piece inspired by my own hypermobile type of EDS.

Bendy Stems is a piece that represents my hyperflexiblity of my joints with stems that are stretching and tearing away from the vibrant, colorful peony blooms.

There is beauty and difficulty living with EDS.

May Flowers exhibition at Las Laguna Gallery in Laguna Beach, California. Fading Beauty: Tulip is a gorgeous piece I created after photographing a dried pink tulip from my garden. The shimmer and crinkled texture was too pretty; I had to capture the vibrant pink, purple, and yellow shades. The original piece is 22" x 30" on Arches cold press paper. Shown here in a thin black frame with 4" mat for maximum statement!
